FAQs

Dog Beds & Crate Pads

  • How durable are your beds?

Our beds are built for heavy-duty use, ensuring long-lasting durability. However, durability varies by design. The Cybarmour Beds are our toughest option, resisting even persistent chewers, while Stoutwool Beds withstand digging, scratching, and rough play. For best results, match the bed to your dog’s destructive habits.

  • What if my dog damages the bed?

Both the Cybarmour and Stoutwool series come with a 150-day warranty. If your dog damages the bed within this period, we’ll replace the cover once for free (for removable covers) or provide a full replacement (for non-removable covers). Alternatively, you can opt for a refund or apply the credit toward another product. Email your order number and damage photos to support@pelzin.com for assistance.

  • Which bed should I choose?

Consider your dog’s sleeping style and destructive level:

  1. Sprawlers who stretch out need rectangular beds.
  2. Large dogs benefit from our Pelzin Giant Beds with 3” orthopedic support.
For chewers, Cybarmour is ideal; for diggers/scratching, Stoutwool is the better choice.
  3. How do I pick the right size?

Always check the size guide! Measure your dog from nose to tail base and add 10” for extra room. Alternatively, mark the bed’s dimensions on the floor to visualize the fit. Breed/weight recommendations are general—individual sizing may vary.

  • What size crate bed works best?

Measure your crate’s interior (manufacturer dimensions may be rounded up).

  1. Cybarmour/Stoutwool Crate Pads: Flexible and thin, they can be folded to fit.
  2. Orthopedic Crate Beds: Less flexible due to dense foam; choose the closest size to your crate’s dimensions.
Note: Standard beds are too wide for crates—stick to crate-specific models.

  • What is Stoutwool and Cybarmour fabric?

Stoutwool is a tightly woven, tear-resistant material designed to endure digging and scratching. Cybarmour adds a reinforced grid weave to prevent small punctures from expanding.

  • Which mattress type is better?
  1. Pillow-style beds (air fiber) suit nesters who like to sink in.
  2. Orthopedic foam beds are firmer, ideal for older dogs, large breeds, or joint support.

  • Is assembly required?

Most beds arrive as a rolled mattress + separate cover. Simply insert the mattress and shake pillow-style beds to fluff. Cybarmour Crate Pads and Stoutwool Crate Mats are ready to use unrolled.

  • Can beds be used outdoors?

Cybarmour Beds are outdoor-friendly. Avoid Stoutwool Beds outside—their fuzzy surface traps dirt and moisture.

  • How do I clean the bed?

Spot clean with a damp cloth, or machine-wash removable covers on a delicate cycle (cold water). Air-dry recommended; low-heat machine drying is acceptable.
